The Lakeside site is a great site for extra care housing for older people and has been selected specifically. The site will provide up to 50 new one bedroom flats. All of the homes will be accessible, with some specifically designed for wheelchair users.

The accommodation has been designed to ensure residents can remain in their homes as they age and/or their needs change.

The design focuses on ensuring residents have sufficient space, both private and communal, and key to this have been considerations around accessibility.

The building has been set back from Field Lane, enabling residents to have ready access to safe external space.

All gardens have been landscaped specifically to address the needs of older people.
